Malware bytes is an easy to use malware removal tool. It coexists nicely with other spyware and virus protection. I have it running with SUPERAntiSpyware and Avast and all 3 coexist beautifully. The free version of Malwarebytes anti-malware has realtime protection disabled but for a small fee in comparison to the protection given, is more than worth the price. If malware bytes finds any files it considers threats, it lists what it finds, including individual files, memory or registry traces. This makes it easy to see what is happening and by saving a log file you have a record of what was found.

Other programs such as spyware sweeper use a tree like format giving you option to drill down further to see the individual files.

I prefer this transparent method as you can see at a glance what has been found.

If a valid program does get accidentally quarantined, it is possibile to restore it. Quarantine will list all traces of the removed program so be careful to restore all traces back to their original.

This software is an excellent example of how an antimalware software should work! Two months ago I had some nasty infection on my laptop and I tried 7 - 8 different antimalware applications (all with high review scores) and even some tips&tricks found on internet, but they couldn't detect it. I used Malwarebytes after trying a few different programs to get rid of a nasty piece of malware. I had tried different spyware programs and didn't even know what malware was when I started to look for solutions. After reading reviews, I decided to try Malwarebytes. It was quick to download and the quick scan only took about 8 mins. It found files but I decided to do a deep scan which took a couple of hours but it found more. I thought I was going to have to reinstall windows, but I didn't have to thanks to this great program. At $24.95, it saved me hundreds of dollars in computer repair fees.

I was dubious at first because there are so many programs out there promising different things. My computer guy said that he uses this in conjunction with a couple of other programs (superantispyware and an antivirus program) and the combination has done the trick. My computer used to go down with infection at least once every 2 months but it has been 5 months now and not a hiccup. I love Malwarebytes. For once it does what it says it will do!
